We've just wrapped up a fun release cycle, and it's my pleasure to announce Rockstor 3.9.0. Our community has been really active and we've prioritized nicely to improve on a few different areas. Five contributors have come together for this release and besides working on new features and bug fixes, we made significant improvements to code quality. phillxnet has made a big enhancement to the disk management subsystem. I've made large code quality improvement to backend Python stack. MFlyer collaborated with me on that and took upon himself to do the same for all of Javascript stack. He made several ninja style contributions and helped fix many bugs. I'd say this is a nice release with some new stuff and a bunch of useful maintenance updates.

It represents a selected subset of fixes deemed important for security or stability reasons, as well as new features and enhancements. Some highlights of the 7.1 release are: support for Raspberry Pi Zero; initial DRM/KMS support for NVIDIA graphics cards via nouveau (disabled by default, uncomment nouveau and nouveaufb in your kernel config to test); the addition of vioscsi, a driver for the Google Compute Engine disk; Linux compatibility improvements, allowing, the use of Adobe Flash Player 24.

We are happy to present the correcting release of ROSA Fresh R8 platform by launching updated ROSA Fresh R8.1. This ROSA Fresh R8.1 release is primarily made for users who need stable LTS platform on modern hardware. We are happy to announce the release of pfSense software version 2.3.3. This is a maintenance release in the 2.3.x series, bringing numerous stability and bug fixes, fixes for a handful of security issues in the GUI, and a handful of new features. The full list of changes is on the 2.3.3 New Features and Changes page, including a list of FreeBSD and internal security advisories addressed by this release. As always, you can upgrade from any prior version directly to 2.3.3. The Upgrade Guide covers everything you'll need to know for upgrading in general. While, nearly all of the common regressions between 2.2.6 and 2.3-RELEASE have been fixed in subsequent releases, the following still exist: IPsec IPComp does not work, this is disabled by default; IGMP Proxy does not work with VLAN interfaces and possibly other edge cases; those using IPsec and OpenBGPD may have non-functional IPsec unless OpenBGPD is removed.
