The project's latest release, Trisquel 8.0 "Flidas", is based on Ubuntu 16.04 and includes support through to the year 2021. Steve Langasek has announced the availability of the second and final beta build of Ubuntu 18.04, including all official Ubuntu sub-projects. This is a long-term support (LTS) version the final release of which is scheduled for April 26: "The Ubuntu team is pleased to announce the final beta release of the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS Desktop, Server and Cloud products. This beta release includes images of the Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Ubuntu Budgie, UbuntuKylin, Ubuntu MATE, Ubuntu Studio and Xubuntu flavours. Bionic final beta includes updated versions of most of our core set of packages, including a current 4.15 kernel."
